Chevening Scholarships 2022 for Rwandan Students: Students from Rwanda can now apply for free to top universities in the UK. For Rwandan students who want to study abroad, the Chevening Scholarship for Rwandans accepts applications.
This award is given to people with demonstrated leadership potential and strong academic backgrounds.
The Chevening Scholarships Programme was originally known as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Awards Scheme, (FCOAS), and was established in 1983. It is funded by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
The scheme’s stated goal is to create a network of UK friends who will become future leaders in their respective countries.
The scheme’s name was changed to Chevening in 1994 after Chevening House, Sevenoaks, Kent. It is currently the official residence of both the British Foreign Secretary (and the British Deputy Prime Minster).
